Dierlijke productie staat centraal in verschillende discussies, niet enkel omwille van de impact op omgeving en klimaat, maar ook op vlak van dierenwelzijn. Deze seminariereeks zal voornamelijk toespitsen op enkele voorname discussiepunten binnen het domein van de toekomstige dierlijke productie: wat is de wetenschappelijke achtergrond van het probleem en hoe kan onderzoek bijdragen tot oplossingen?

Meat consumption is questioned in the media because of the impact on the environment and human health. Due to a strong increase in meat demand worldwide, driven by developing countries, the animal production is increasing and spreading globally. Do we really eat to much meat? Is all meat 'bad'? How can our meat consumption be more sustainable, or do we all have to turn into vegans? |
